Healing has been the focus of my story since 1999. In the beginning, it was all about healing within the field of nursing. First as a certified nursing assistant and then in 2006 I began my practice as a registered nurse. By 2012, I had hit a physical, spiritual and emotional rock bottom. February 20, 2012 is the day that changed. I made a choice to begin including myself in the healing I was so comfortable facilitating for others.

At first, it was all about following a 12-step program to begin dealing with my dysfunctional coping mechanisms that were dependent on alcohol and marijuana. After three years clean and the death of my son of suicide, my healing journey began to shift. I began to include all sorts of alternative treatment modalities to begin getting to the root cause of my physical symptoms.

In 2017, I was blessed with Reiki Level II attunement; this caused a BIG shift in the way I viewed healing! So much of healing is energy and the flow of energy.

In 2022, I invested in my education as an Integrative Nutrition Coach, and I started to really understand autoimmunity and the role nutrition plays in your body. “Let thine food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thine food,” a quote from Hippocrates, was one of my first mantras on my healing journey. I made a lot of progress on my own simply by developing a conscious awareness of the foods I was choosing for my body.

It wasn’t until 2024 that I finally found a Family Practice physician who diagnosed me with autoimmune conditions. Because of her I know exactly what I am dealing with, and I am so grateful. My three main autoimmune conditions are Reynaud’s Syndrome, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis and Adenomyosis. The AutoImmune Paleo protocol, along with lifestyle changes, have decreased my symptoms to a tolerable level. I am excited to continue my journey on AIP and feel the benefits of decreasing my body’s level of inflammation over time! I am proud to be an AutoImmune Paleo Certified Coach and am looking forward to accompanying you on your journey to becoming harmonious.
